Just before I head to bed (waaaay too late, of course, it’s almost 2 am here now!), I see this header on Richard Armitage’s Twitter page!
Methinks this is his anti-Brexit, pro EU statement. It’s good to see his support for remaining in the EU, I too wish Brexit wouldn’t happen. Only 9 days away now until the Brexit date. We so wonder at our house how this mess will be solved…
You’re late, I’m early 😉 and the prominent EU flag caught my eyes at once. Watching the news from the other side of the Channel leaves me in despair – and I can’t imagine the feelings of those who never wanted anything like Brexit at all…

I can not believe the mess this whole Brexit process is! The news breaking now is that May will ask an extension until end of June. Going by how ineptly things have been handled these past 3 years, I wonder if June will be any different than now, at the end of March. The saga continues… sigh…

Esther, delay is better than extraction right away and delay means hope that this will never happen so I take that as good news or rather welcoming news. A shit show of epic proportions Brexit is a won’t go away headache!

I so wish it was at least March 30th already, so at least we’d know what happens after the UK sinks…

I would figure Esther that if May is leaning now toward a delay (fingers crossed) that she will do everything it takes to make that happen by or on March 29. UK wouldn’t just tear itself away with no back up plan, too much tied in with the EU. I kept wondering why she didn’t do this move in Dec or January to delay when clearly she wasn’t going to get 100% support from anyone to just cleanly break. It seems like a mindfuck to me. I think about Ireland in there and what happens there if Brexit would go through. Just a bloody mess. EU is at least strong enough to say “ok you don’t want to co-habit with us anymore fine. ” UK can’t say the same thing IMO. I will add I love Richard’s stance on this with his symbolic gesture,..

Remaining Richard 👍 Brexit has turned into a really big and really messy dog turd with the help of many irresponsible and selfish politicians, enabled by a likewise irresponsible and selfish gutter press. It’s like nellindreams said: i’m left in despair (and a lot of anger) right now. And I’m not even British or living in the UK!😢

I see no benefits for them leaving the EU but their nationalism and arrogance seem to overrule anything else. Yes, it’s so very frustrating for us Europeans to witness!!

And reading the news this morning, it seems as if Teresa May only listens to the extreme Brexiteers in her party yet again. 😩 Good grief.
There are no benefits in leaving the EU (as frustrating and trying the EU can be on occasion). The resurgence of misguided nationalism is truly scary.

Yes, that terrifies me…

Thanks for the heads up. I don’t often directly look at his profile. I would not have seen it.
I’m hoping against hope that this mess can be resolved, but we live in frightening times.

On occasion I decide to check his profile when I have no patience to scroll through my whole Twitter timeline. Don’t do it daily or anything but last night before bed I decided to quickly check before signing off and found that.
Yes, it is all such a huge mess and so frustrating!

LOL! I haven’t tried. But I did wonder how he did that as well. 🙂

Ah, thanks for passing that on.
But what has happened to the little flag he had behind his name? Or am I mixing something up?

He had a little flag behind his name? I don’t seem to recall. I’m a bad fan, not paying as much attention as I should! 😉 Also, I don’t know how long this current flag has been on his header, it’s just something I noticed last night.

LOL – no, you are not a bad fan at all… I only remember the little Euro flag because I remember making some sarcastic remarks about the sudden appearance of all those Euro flags behind so many other names…

Ooh, what other names, do you remember?

My patience and usual diplomacy are a little overstretched at the moment, sorry!

Hehe, my lack of diplomacy skills is what has put me in the bad books of some of those people, who have subsequently blocked me on Twitter… So much for being kind and nice…

Is that still going on w/ that Bobster twat? Or the mysterious woman from Jan-Feb? I thought a cease and desist had been put out plus you are on hiatus right now from Twitter?

Well, yep, I am not actively on Twitter. But I haven’t deleted my account there. I simply don’t check in or read there at the moment. (And with Bobster it’s the other way ’round – *I* blocked *her*.)

Ah yes well as long as you blog I am happy. Not a fan of Twitter or FB or IG at all. My married gf is on IG and wants me to join to post and I said nah I can’t take a pic to save my life. Our attempt at selfies on Sat night with Irish color flag hats on and “Kiss Me I am Irish” buttons was null. The German Irish pub we went to was great and I had schnitzel for dinner, in hog heaven!!!

German Irish pub???? Sounds exactly like my place 🍺☘️

Yep! I didn’t know it was German until I looked at the menu and we sat in the bar area and had a progressive dinner. She’s going thru a nasty divorce so I wanted to take her out, got her flowers, some wine (New Zealand Cav!) and the hats. I originally wanted to take pics in the bar with the hats and buttons on but she said no. It’s more a beer pub but the schnitzel was not bad. I love the button!! The hat is sparkly with the Irish flag colours! We tried beer samplers and pretzels and then dinner and then dessert! More than you asked about, sorry!

Hehe, it’s what is called context!
And what a international evening. Two Americans in a German Irish pub with New Zealand wine…

Well, I am doing them a favour – they thought *I* was toxic, so now they don’t have to deal with my toxicity anymore.

It’s in his bio—and still there. He never had one behind his name iirc. I remember because you asked what it would take for me to swap my cactus 🌵 for the European Union 🇪🇺 and I think I said he needs to tweet @ me, so my actions could singlehandedly save the EU. 😂
