I’m finally braving it and watching Berlin Station season two. Season one hadn’t done so much for me, even though the last few episodes redeemed the show somewhat, so I have been putting off watching season two. I am desperate for some new Richard material, so I finally bit the bullet, so to speak, and season two it had to be for me. I just finished watching the first two episodes.
Again, I find myself not enjoying the show so much, even though I do very much enjoy Richard-watching. He’s always good, just wish the material was better and his character had more depth. I’ve been freeze-framing to get a better look at him and have been taking some screenshots. Visually it all started nicely with these images (click to enlarge) of Daniel Miller (Richard Armitage) on a train…
And Daniel at Berlin Hauptbahnhof…
There was a little interaction with Esther Krug (Mina Tander)…
Some more Richard… er… Daniel in action…
I very much liked these images of Valerie Edwards (Michelle Forbes)…
There’s Daniel in a car…
And the show finally came to life a bit for me when at the end of episode one the action was transferred to Spain and Hector DeJean (Rhys Ifans) came onto the scene…
Episode two sees Daniel in a market…
Daniel in a wine cellar…
Daniel drinking wine…
Daniel smirking and listening…
Daniel intense in profile…
Some more Daniel and Hector action…
And I really liked this following image of Daniel, he’s been showing a little more real emotion under the undercover surface than I remember from season one…
There’s Daniel waking up (look at those veins in his upper arm)…
Daniel walking…
… and talking with Hector at the end of episode two.
So, yeah, it’s been really wonderful seeing Richard in action but after two episodes I need a little breather before I continue on with the rest. Only for you, Richard, only for you…
The ONLY reason why I watch Berlin Station is the Richard watching. I’ll do to Season 3 what I did with both one and two – save them all, burn them, and then watch the entire season in one sitting – like when I’m ill.
I’m waiting with baited breath for the next season of Castlevania!!!!

Yeah, I have them all saved as well… will possibly brave more later today.
The upcoming project I’m most curious about is My Zoe.

The first couple of episodes were good – not least because there was a decent amount of Richard in them.
Loved seeing all your screen shots here… Thanks x

It only gets less after this, I understand. Of the two episodes, I liked the 2nd one best. 😊

Me too – that was my favourite episode in the whole season…

Thank you for those lovely caps, Esther! I particularly loved that second episode: because of lovely Ronda, because of the light (kudos to the camera team) and of course because of RA’s look!
As for the plot I very much regretted that HdJ took over the centre of action in this episode…

Actually, I thought Hector and Daniel teamed up nicely in episode 2, I really liked their interaction.
Daniel sure looked good, yes. 😊

With which you have seen 3/4 or more of what’s really worthwhile (in terms of Armitage) about season 2. Iirc he appears for 30 seconds in episode 3.

Well, that sucks! The only thing that makes this interesting to me is Richard Armitage. There was also a glimpse of Richard Jenkins, I like him too, so maybe he can hold my interest? We’ll see…

Focusing on the visuals of Richard as Daniel as Trevor is the way to go! I was just fast forwarding through some of the episodes I have saved the other night, basically doing the same thing.
I was watching the fourth movie of The Hunger Games with my kids the other night. Michelle Forbes did a good job as Lieutenant Jackson in that movie.

Michelle Forbes really is quite good! She’s good as Valerie too…
Have fast-forwarded through the rest of Berlin Station, post on that will be forthcoming. 🙂

I watch BS because of Richard Armitage of course, but I too am not impressed with the show, except RA…It just has not grabbed me and kept me interested……S2 was a tad better than one, but I would not be surprised if this is his last season……….I AM however, totally ready for Castlevania, that I AM very interested in…..Thanks for the stills….

Welcome! 😊
I kinda hope it’s his last season… time for a different challenge, I think.

Ya, he just looks like he’s going through the motions, the role was never really “developed” for him, he’s too good of an actor for that……I just hope they don’t kill him off,,,

If they do, then at least it will be clear he’ll be done completely….
