TDH in the past few days

Luckily not everything has been doom and gloom of late – to cheer me up from depressing world news there have been some Tall Dark Handsome people to really enjoy looking at!

Starting off with Richard Armitage and a second short video interview about the Wolverine podcast (I mentioned the first one on blog here). I still haven’t listened to Wolverine because of reasons, but the behind the scenes still looks good.

In the other post, I put many images of Richard talking with his hands, which is fascinating to look at, here are a few more screencaps I made from this second interview. He doesn’t only talk with hands, he talks with fists as well!

The most evocative shot that I really fell for was this following one of him. In the first video we’d seen a close-up of him on the floor. This time we get the full body shot of him sitting on the floor, with legs pulled up, one crossed over the other. The other guy on the couch is watching him be the picture of focus and concentration, with Richard lost in his Wolverine world on the tablet; I just love that…

Here, a closer look…

I really like those boots too!

Moving from one tall, dark, handsome man to the next: Colin Firth and his wife Livia were at the recent Met Gala. They are embroiled in a legal battle with Livia’s ex-lover right now but they have been forming a united front lately and are going everywhere together, including the gala. They looked very handsome and very elegant!

I especially loved this profile shot of them, with Colin’s hand resting lightly on his wife’s back!

colin-firth-livia-firth-met-gala-2018-02I really hope they get through this difficult time well together…

Speaking of the Met Gala, I have seen pictures here and there of people all dressed up in the Catholic theme of the gala. I don’t intend to show all those images here, except for the dress of one person, that really struck me. Zendaya, who did such an awesome job in the part of Anne Wheeler in The Greatest Showman, came looking like Joan of Arc. I found it a stunning look!

She certainly looked tall dark and handsome and gorgeous and should there be a new Joan of Arc movie in the works somewhere, I recommend they look to Zendaya for the title role!

Speaking of tall dark handsome and The Greatest Showman: on his instagram Hugh Jackman posted a lovely pic of him and his wife Deb all dressed up, ready to go to the Met Gala…

He’s also been promoting his ethical coffee company called ‘Laughing Man‘.

Yes, Hugh Jackman makes me smile!

And finally, nothing to do with the Met Gala, but all to do with tall dark and handsome and making me smile: Pierce Brosnan who shared some lovely images on his instagram in the past few days. First, he shared a picture of himself with full beard for a role he has been playing. The man ages so beautifully, he’s become even more interesting to look at over the past decade or so! Anyway, I find him drop dead gorgeous here…

… and then he shared a picture of himself with his paintings. I have seen paintings of his in the past before and I really like his colourful style! He’s pretty good at it. He has painted since 1987 since his first wife started fighting ovarian cancer (she died a few years later). The painting has apparently been very therapeutic for him and he still loves doing it…

Apparently he is running out of storage space for his paintings…

If he needs space, I wouldn’t mind a Pierce Brosnan painting donation for my living room! Interesting to look at and the colours can lift my spirits… πŸ™‚

  1. I had not known Pierce Brosnan is such a pop artist! Wow! Lots of colours indeed for the living room!
Btw I love that photo of the Armitage sitting on the floor, lost in the script, vanished from real life, all concentration! Apart from the boots he looks stunning and so different from that man we met at Niff, doesn’t he?
I am experiencing a Firth reload atm. Apart from those glittery Met ball looks they had also shared nice pics from a trip to Africa, apparently as a part of Livia’s eco age engagement. Let’s hope they’ll work it out together!

    1. Yeah, I saw those Africa pictures as well. Livia posted stuff about that trip on her instagram as well. There was this one of them petting a baby elephant… awww….
I don’t think Mr Esther would be happy with such a Brosnan painting in the living room. They are quite huge and they aren’t quite his taste! Maybe a small one would be open for discussion. πŸ˜‰
You don’t like the Armitage boots? I do. πŸ™‚ Yes, he does look stunning, all concentrated like that.

The best thing we got out of Wolverine IMO were those BTS vids!
Too bad Richard Armitage doesn’t want to promote fair trade coffee. I would jump on that immediately and volunteer to work in his shop!

    1. Audiowork just ain’t my thing, even though Richard did sound awesome in the few snippets I heard. But it’s 10 episodes of 30 minutes – that’s 5 hours! I don’t know if I have the patience for all that (and want to spend my money on that), especially as Richard isn’t in it that much despite playing the title character of Wolverine! Still debating whether it’s worth it for me… Just like I’m still debating whether I should watch Berlin Station s2.
I don’t drink coffee at all but I love that Jackman is doing this. Next time I’m in NYC, I plan to stop by their store and just take a look around. Maybe they have good tea as well? πŸ˜‰

Word is that all the episodes will drop on other platforms this fall anyway — I don’t know if for free, but you might as well wait to see if the price is any different. Or you could buy just the episodes in which he says something worthwhile to listen to, esp 10. Like, I think you could get away with just buying 3 and you’d get the whole benefit.

        1. Now that’s a good tip, thanks! So, besides episode 10, which other 2 would be good?
And while we’re at it, which BS would be worthwhile watching, do you know?

BS 2: he’s not really in eps 3 or 6. Of the remaining ones 2 and 5 are the most important, followed by 4. If you like the Esther relationship, then you need to watch 7 8 9.

Wolverine: 2, 5, 9 and 10. The rest he’s barely in, only 1-2 lines each time.

  3. Oh, Brosnan paints? That immediately hikes him up in my estimation. His style of painting is not entirely my cup of tea, but I love that he is doing something so expressive and creative.
As for BTS of Wolverine – RA sitting cross-legged on the floor could be the start of a thousand memes… “Sexual orientation: Richard Armitage sitting cross-legged on the floor”. Llllllegs… swoon – thud.

    1. The Brosnan style is a bit of pop art meets Picasso. I love how colourful it is! He really loves painting and also likes to visit art exhibitions, which I find cool. πŸ™‚
I’m with ya on the long legs sitting on the floor thud! πŸ™‚

  4. I love that BTS video of Wolverine. Watching RA run across the room and grapple with the other actor is cool. And, of course, the shot of him sitting on the floor is great. I love the boots and was trying to find them on line just for fun with no success. Of course, now every time I browse the internet I am inundated with ads for zippered black boots!

Pierce Brosnan has been a favourite of mine since the Remington Steele days. I’m liking the full beard!

    1. I love the BTS stuff as well, wouldn’t mind seeing more of that! LOL on the boots search. Maybe the right boots will turn up in one of those adds at one point? πŸ˜‰
Yep, Pierce grows a very nice beard!
