I’m on a blogging roll today but then there are so many goodies to share! So, I was eating my Armitagean cake today and checking instagram which offered mostly new Colin Firth goodies.
Colin is in full Bridget Jones promotion mode right now. He was doing press in London last week and has just been in Venice. The pictures from these events are just… well have a look!
So, here are Colin’s funny face pictures from when he was doing press in London!
These funny faces made me think of this Fred Astaire and Audrey Hepburn number from the movie Funny Face 🙂
But I digress… There was one picture in London where Colin smiles and it just made me think of Mr Darcy smiling at Elizabeth Bennet singing at the piano in Pemberley in 1995’s Pride & Prejuice.
Then Colin went on to Venice and there are some lovely shots of him interacting with fans:
There also was suave Colin in Venice…
… and some more funny face Colin…
… but my favorite picture is this one…
It’s such a sweet picture, he has such a lovely and soft look about him in this one. To quote Fred Astaire from the song above: “I love your funny face, your sunny, funny face!”
Tonight is the Bridget Jones’s Baby premiere in London, so I may come back with more pics tomorrow… 🙂
What did your computer think of the cake? 🙂

Naturally, my laptop liked the look of it but I snatched it away and ate it all myself! The laptop could only look on in wonder… 😉

Crumbs are way harder on a keyboard than they are on you 🙂 Poor keyboard 😦

I just spared the keyboard a lot of misery which I thought was rather nice of me. 🙂

and yourself, since typing on a sticky keyboard is no fun for you either. But I bet the keyboard still wishes it could have had at least a tiny bite 🙂

The keyboard got to smell it, which is almost as good…

I don’t know how the keyboard feels, but this reads like a rationalization 🙂

LOL! No, no, I REFUSE to feel guilty!

Pretty sure the keyboard is pouting, lol.

No it’s not (she said defensively), the keyboard is quite friendly to me this evening! Although, I do admit that the “Q” is feeling slightly off…

Probably didn’t get enough of a whiff of the cake. The “Q” is kind out of the center of things.

My poor “Q”! I think it needs some therapy… it’s been feeling off for about a week now, I guess the cake incident didn’t help. But I’ve typed “Q” now a few times already, maybe that extra exercise will make it feel better?

Lovely essay! I love you’re reference to the film Funny Face–so charming! And I’m getting into more of a groove looking forward to seeing Bridget 3–especially with Colin Firth returning as one of the male suitors for Renee Zellweger’s Bridget. And Patrick Dempsey as the other suitor? *THUD* LOL!

Patrick Dempsey is OK, pleasant to look at and all that, but nothing can hold a candle to Colin Firth in this. At least not for me.
And “Funny Face” – yeah, cute movie!

He look absolutely gorgeous in pics from the red carpet premiere. I don’t know whether he wears spanx or something, but his waistline in his suit is so appealing – his whole form is – as it was in The KingsMen. A perfectly tailored suit.

I know he wears Tom Ford suits and says they are good to him. But yeah, the man is looking trim and looks very fine in a suit. 🙂

Tom Ford is a suit for a man with a very slim waist — maybe he’s just one of those guys who gets thinner as he gets older.

So, maybe not the best choice for Richard Armitage’s first good suit.

yeah, it was. Although it looked at the time like he was being “dressed” in a hurry — and arguably the issue isn’t so much his waist as his hips / buttocks.

Or he may have been working out more. He was on a workout regime for Kingsman, I think he may have kept that up.

And didn’t he play the Tom Ford character in A Single Man? I like Tom Ford, except for his perfume, which was very popular a few years ago. I had a friend who wore it and I had to ask her not to wear it when we were together, or not to sit near me. I can’t really take strong perfumey smells, but this was especially hard on me, as was Obsession by Calvin Klein, (whose clothes I adore) or some reason.
read somewhere that Ford is thinking of a sequel to A SIngle Man – I hope he does and I hope CF plays the role again.

maybe the company gave him a lifetime discount 🙂

I understand that Tom Ford has become a Firth family friend, so I’m sure he gets pointers there.

Tom Ford was the director, the character was a 1960s college professor. Colin was so awesome in that!
That’s wild you have such a strong reaction to those perfumes, but I can imagine what you mean, I get a bit of that when someone sprays on too much perfume.
Single Man sequel – I hadn’t heard of that one yet!
