I’d been thinking (given a lull in the election news that’s set to last a week or so) that I could back off my usual “what fresh hell is this” approach when reading the morning news. Guess not. Horrible, terrible news.

I heard about it first through my Church because four missionaries who were at the airport were injured in the attack. Then, when I read the news from different outlets, I felt a mixture of horror, anger, helplessness and sadness. Even though the logical side of my brain knows why terrorists continue with these attacks around the world, my heart cannot fathom how a person can have such little regard for the lives of innocent people. It’s heartbreaking…
