I have had a subscription to Empire film magazine for many years now and one of my favourite sections in it is the “How much is a pint of milk” section… funny questions aimed at getting to know the ‘regular, daily life’ person behind the name a little better. And now Richard has been interviewed for it!
I haven’t received my new Empire copy yet but an image of the interview in Empire is already available online: http://wastingyourgum.tumblr.com/image/132027437433 (Thanks to Perry from Armitage Agonistes for linking to this scan)
This section is always a bit naughty and I loved reading Richard’s answers! I’m glad they included the regular ‘hairy arse’ question. 🙂 I would have also liked to read Richard’s answers to “What is your favourite curse word?” or “What is your favourite word in the English language?” or “On a scale of 1 to 10, how famous are you?” or “When were you last naked outdoors?” or “When were you most star struck?” or “When was the last time you walked out of a film?” or “What’s your Karaoke song of choice?” Maybe they should do a second Pint of Milk interview with him to get answers to these questions as well…
In the meantime you can read some other Pint of Milk interviews with other actors here, if you like: http://www.empireonline.com/interviews/pintofmilk/
In case you’re interested: Martin Freeman’s behind is pretty much fuzz-free…
I have just spent a very enjoyable half hour reading up other celeb’s stupid answers. Thanks for posting that link – I think RA is doing very well there with his answers. Good mixture of light-hearted and outrageously cheeky. I am sorry he did not answer the bum question, though. He would’ve been in good company…

And actually – I am just thinking: His refusal to answer that one, hints to deep dark secrets *muhahahaha*

Now that I find very interesting to ponder… 😉

Loved this… his earthy sense of humor works well with the premise of the column. Though I hope they don’t ask women the hairy arse question…

Hmm, I don’t recall but I wouldn’t put it past them… 🙂

I’ve never read Empire magazine so I thought those questions were just incredibly off-the-wall… didn’t realize it’s a tradition! LOL. Now I’m off to see what others have said in response! (And I loved that interview. It’s nice to see the cheeky side of RA now and again, and this delivered!)

Empire magazine is a bit off-the-wall sometimes, which I love. For instance, they have this yearly film competition called “Done in 60 seconds” where anyone can send in a 60 second film depicting the story of any film they want to within that time frame. So much fun! http://www.jamesonempirediss.com/
And I always love me some cheeky Richard!

I’m glad you’re enjoying them… I should go and take another look at them myself… I can’t remember what most people answered anyhow when I first read them. 🙂

I really loved this interview, and it’s cool that it’s a tradition. I’m guessing his answer to “star struck” is Ian McKellen …

I think Cate Blanchett and possibly Prince William may also be contenders for that award? Though, yeah, Ian McKellen may be the best bet…

I know he’s answered Ian McKellen to that question before. But I know he was pretty star struck by Prince William.
