“How do I love thee?”

Let me count the ways… πŸ™‚

I came across these pictures today, taken the other day at the premiere of Ian McKellan’s new film called “Mr. Holmes”:

Oh, how I love these pictures! So loving, so joyous, and Mrs. Patrick Stewart also shares in the fun!

FYI, Patrick Stewart has the sexiest voice in the universe (sorry, Richard Armitage, your voice comes a close second). I can safely claim that as I have joined Captain Picard in his travels all over the universe and have never come across a better voice… I only ever started watching Star Trek: The Next Generation because DH liked it and have never regretted it. Every single time the intro started playing he was not allowed to utter a peep or move and the volume of the TV went up just so I could properly hear Patrick Stewart say, “Space: the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its continuing mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly (or baldly?) go where no one has gone before.”

Anyway, I digress. Ian McKellan and Patrick Stewart are acting greats and I love them both and I just adore that they are BFFs in real life. Just for the fun of it, some more lovely pictures of the two of them together:

  1. you’ve made me want to run back and watch some more Next Generation πŸ™‚ I love them both, wonderful men and actors. And PS’ work for women’s causes is amazing. What a great friendship they have πŸ™‚

  2. I saw those images yesterday and my heart smiled. Theirs is such a beautiful embodiment of the meaning of friendship. Thanks for sharing them here. πŸ™‚

When they did the two plays in NYC in 2013, hubby and I had the opportunity to see both plays … on the same day (matinee and evening performances). Wow. Just wow! While “No Man’s Land” was a wonderful show, these two lit up the stage as Gogo and Didi in “Waiting for Godot”! I keep hoping that they’ll work together in something again soon. The world could use a heaping dose of McKellen-Stewart! πŸ˜‰

    1. Oh my goodness, lucky you! I would have loved to see those two on stage! And you saw both plays on one day – very cool. On a side note – for them to do two plays on one day, that is quite an accomplishment!

      1. Hmmmmm … I really thought I did write about it, Serv. (I seriously remember putting together a post about it.) It was an enormously fun time for hubby and me. But, going through my back posts here and on Facebook, I cannot find a single reference to that particular moment in time. Guess I need to think back, pull out my photos, relive the fun and write something.
